मुंबई। बॉलीवुड अभिनेता कार्तिक आर्यन ने कोरोनोवायरस महामारी के खिलाफ लड़ाई के समर्थन में प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी के पीएम-केयर्स फंड में 1 करोड़ रुपये का योगदान दिया है। कार्तिक आर्यन ने सोमवार सुबह इंस्टाग्राम पर लिखा, "जो भी मैं हूं, जितना भी कमा पाया हूं वो सिर्फ भारत के लोगों की वजह से। मैं एक करोड़ रुपए प्रधानमंत्री राहत कोष में डोनेट कर रहा हूं। मै लोगों से भी ये अपील करता हूं कि जितनी भी मुमकिन हो उतनी मदद करें।" अक्षय कुमार संकट की घड़ी में सरकार के कोष में दान करने वाले पहले बॉलीवुड सेलिब्रिटी थे। उन्होंने शनिवार को 25 करोड़ रुपये का दान दिया था। अक्षय कुमार के नक्शेकदम पर चलते हुए, अन्य सितारों वरुण धवन, अनुष्का शर्मा, शिल्पा शेट्टी कुंद्रा, मनीष पॉल, कृति सनोन, गायक गुरु रंधावा, रैपर बादशाह और अन्य ने पीएम राहत कोष में दान दिया है। इस मामले में दक्षिण के सितारे पीछे नही रहे। दूसरी ओर सलमान खान ने फिल्म उद्योग के उन 2500 दैनिक मजदूरों के समर्थन के लिए दान देने का फैसला किया, जिनका लॉकडाउन के कारण आय का कोई स्रोत नहीं है।    साभार-khaskhabar.com

Bollywood singer Kanika Kapoor has for a third time tested positive for the novel coronavirus. Sanjay Gandhi PGIMS, where Bollywood singer Kanika Kapoor is being treated for COVID-19, said that she has tested positive in her third test as well. She had tested positive for coronavirus for the second time on 23 March, following her first positive test on 20 March. Earlier, Lucknow police booked Kanika on charges of negligence for attending various social events in the city despite being infected with coronavirus and having been instructed by the authorities to isolate herself at her home. She has been booked under Sections 188, 269, and 270 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) at Sarojini Nagar police station in the city. The FIR was lodged based on a complaint filed by the chief medical officer (CMO) of Lucknow.She has become the first Bollywood celebrity to test positive for the deadly virus in the country and has said she is under complete quarantine and medical care. Frozen 2 actor Rachel Matthews has tested positive for the novel coronavirus. The 26-year-old actor, who voices Honey Maren in the 2019 Disney animated film, told her Instagram followers that she has been in quarantine for the past week. “Hey guys, I tested positive for COVID-19 and have been in quarantine the last week. Unsure of what the next step is (been getting mixed info so will keep you posted) but obviously will remain in quarantine until told to do otherwise. I’m feeling better but I will be posting some info that I hope will be helpful to some. “Please feel free to reach out and ask me any questions. I really would love to help in any way I can. Again, let’s please be mindful of our decisions – now is the time to be smart and responsible. Let’s take care of one another,” she wrote in her Instagram story on Monday. Manila Pradhan on Sunday emerged as the winner of MTV Supermodel of the Year. The Sikkim girl beat Drisha More and Priya Singh in the final, and took home a year-long modelling contract and cash prize of Rs 5 lakh. The reality show was judged by Malaika Arora, Milind Soman and Masaba Gupta, while Ujjwala Raut acted as the mentor. Having struggled in the beginning, Pradhan worked on her style and gradually climbed up the ladder to become one of the top contenders. She impressed judges with her consistency throughout the journey. Pradhan emerged victorious with a huge margin in the final photo-shoot challenge that needed her to pose with the esteemed panelists. On her big win, Manila shared in a statement, “It is not less than a dream come true for me. One of the biggest things that I learned and would like to take away with me from this journey is to be yourself. That is your ultimate power which nobody can have. All the judges on the show and the mentors were great. But I really have a special intangible connection and a soft corner for Malaika ma’am and Ujjwala ma’am. Bollywood actors Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar will step in the shoes of Ayushmann Khurrana and Sanya Malhotra as they set out to play lead roles in the sequel to Badhaai Ho. As per a report, Bhumi essays the role of a PT teacher while Rajkummar plays a solo male cop in a women’s police station. Bhumi as saying, “Badhaai Ho is one of my favourite films in recent times, and it is really exciting to take this franchise forward. For me, the script is one of the best that I have ever come across, and I immediately wanted to do this film. My character again is strong, independent and author-backed, and it gives me a lot of scope to bring a very different and cool character to life. This time, too, the film will say something extremely relevant and relatable, but in a hilarious manner. I’m also excited to share screen space with Raj for the first time.” The film will go on floors by June and is likely to release next year. Rajkummar told, “I have played a cop before, but never with this perspective. I look for layered characters and this is a perfect match. My character is surrounded by strong women at home and work, and that adds immense depth to his personality. Junglee Pictures’ Bareilly Ki Barfi was a fabulous experience for me. Badhaai Do is a reunion in many ways.” This will be the first time Bhumi and Rajkummar will feature together in a film. Badhaai Ho enjoyed both commercial and critical success.
