Anil Kapoor and Jackie Shroff share a close bond. It is a sight to behold every time the two talented actors sit together and have a chat. One of their films, Parinda completes 30 years on November 3. In a video released to celebrate 30 years of the film, Jackie is seen sharing an interesting anecdote from the shoot of the film. He said that he slapped Anil 17 times during the shoot.

In the video, Jackie Shroff is seen sitting with Anil Kapoor, director Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Anurag Kashyap. Jackie revealed that Anil Kapoor asked for multiple retakes for a scene in which the Hero actor slaps him. The video also shows the scene the actor is talking about. Jackie said, "He wanted to express that his elder brother had slapped him. The first shot was okayed by the director and he got the right expression as well. But he said - no I want one more. I slapped him. He again said one more. I slapped him 17 times for the scene. I couldn't just act as if I am slapping him. I had to slap him as one couldn't get his reaction if you slap in the air."

Parinda is a family drama revolving around two brothers Kishan and Karan, played by Jackie and Anil respectively. Just like many earlier films, Anil played the younger brother in this film as well. Before Parinda, the actors shared screen space as brothers in Subhash Ghai's Ram Lakhan, which was also released in 1989. Interestingly, Anil is older that Jackie, but has always played the younger brother in films. The actors last shared the big screen in 2013 film Shootout at Wadala, Jackie had a guest appearance in the film.

Fans are awaiting for the reunion of the two actors on the big screen. Recently, there were reports that Anil and Jackie are set to reunite in another Subhash Ghai film. While reports say that the film will be titled Ramchand Kishanchand and will be a crime comey, no official confirmation has been made by any of the two stars and the director.
