Enforcement Directorate recently handed over Rhea Chakraborty’s chat records to the CBI and the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) for a possible drug angle. According to the latest reports, a new drug angle has emerged in the case after the Enforcement Directorate shares WhatsApp chats of the actress with CBI and Narcotics Control Bureau alleging “usage and dealing” of drugs.

Now, a WhatsApp chat between the actress and Shruti Modi allegedly reveals that Sushant Singh Rajput promised to quit marijuana. According to a report in a news portal that accessed the chat records from January 2020, stated that Sushant cried during a meeting, followed by a message that said the actor would seek treatment immediately. In those chats, a contact saved as Shruti 2 is seen saying that the late actor said he quit weed since yesterday. She also said that he has gone off to sleep and that she is leaving for the day. The messages also suggest that despite constant medical care, Sushant was ‘still not healing’ and that his doctor should be consulted about further treatment.

In one of the conversations, Rhea is talking to an alleged drug dealer named Gaurav Ayra. She says "Incase we speak about hard drugs, I haven't been doing too much. Tried MDMA once" and goes on to ask "You have MD?"

In another conversation, a contact saved as 'Miranda Sushi' in Rhea's phone tells the actress "Hi Rhea, the stuff is almost over."

Miranda then asks Rhea "Should we take it from Showik's (Rhea's brother) friend? But he has just hash & bud."

However, the most startling conversation retrieved by Times Now was between Rhea and her friend named Jaya Saha.

On November 25, 2019, Jaya texts Rhea "Use 4 drops in tea or water and let him sip it... Give it 30-40 minutes to kick in".

"Thank you so much," Rhea texts Jaya Saha, and Jaya replies saying "No problem bro, hope it helps".

It should be noted that Rhea Chakraborty has herself claimed that she was the girlfriend of Sushant Singh Rajput in an Instagram post, and back in November 2019, she was reportedly living with the Kai Po Che actor at his Bandra residence.

Sushant’s sister, Shweta Singh Kirti, and brother-in-law Vishal Kirti have also reacted to the development. Shweta, calling it a ‘criminal offence’ in a tweet, has said that immediate action should be taken by the CBI on the matter. Both Rhea and Shruti Modi have been questioned by the Mumbai Police and the ED.
