Rhea Chakraborty has appeared before the Enforcement Directorate at the appointed time after the ED rejected her plea for the postponement of the summon in connection with a money laundering case related to Sushant Singh Rajput's death. "Rhea Chakraborty is a law-abiding citizen. In view of the fact that ED has informed the media that the request to postpone the attendance is rejected, she has appeared in the ED at the appointed time and date," said Rhea's lawyer Satish Maneshinde.
Rhea, via her lawyer Satish Maneshinde, had requested for the postponement of the ED summon until the Supreme Court hearing. She had filed a petition in the apex court, seeking the transfer of an FIR filed, by Sushant's father, against her from Patna to Mumbai. Many caveats were filed in the court against the petition and now, the court will have a second hearing next week.
Rhea had moved the Supreme Court seeking a transfer of the FIR filed in Patna to Mumbai. The Apex court have asked the Maharashtra and Bihar governments and late actor Sushant Singh Rajput's father KK Singh to file replies on Rhea’s plea.
The Enforcement Directorate had summoned Sushant Singh Rajput’s girlfriend Rhea to record her statement with regards to two major property investments made by her in Mumbai. Rhea is being questioned in the matter after Sushant Singh Rajput’s father in his FIR questioned financial irregularities. Sushant’s father had filed a seven page FIR in Patna, claiming that Rs 15 crore form Sushant’s bank account were transferred into accounts that had nothing to do with him.
