Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Padmavati, is one of the most awaited films of 2017. Starring Deepika Padukone as Rani Padmini, Shahid Kapoor as Rawal Ratan Singh and Ranveer Singh as Alauddin Khilji, Padmavati is a huge scale film and fans have been waiting for it to finally hit the screen. Today, the trailer is out and fans are going over the grandeur that Bhansali has portroyed the story. 

We have fallen in love with the trailer. Not just us, Ranbir Kapoor can't wait to watch the film. According to a reports in a leading TV channel's website, Ranbir and Alia Bhatt attended an event recently wherein they talked about how competition in the industry inspires them and both mentioned about Deepika Padukone. Alia Bhatt said, "When I saw Deepika’s look in Padmavati I was jumping in my room because it looks so exciting. But initially I wasn’t like that. I am a very competitive person but I feel that we’re in a space where we can actually be inspired by each other’s work." 

On the same lines, Ranbir added, "You feel bad but you feel inspired as well. This is my tenth year. Probably earlier on I was more competitive and jealous but then you reach a point where it’s about your survival, your choices and how good you are. Now when I see Varun doing Judwaa I feel happy because so early he has learnt the art of pleasing the audience. When I see the looks of Deepika, Shahid and Ranveer from Padmavati, I’m dying to watch the film." Yesterday, the Padmavati trailer hit social media like a hurricane, a stunning one, at that. Bollywood hunk Ranveer Singh who got maximum attention as the marauding invader Alauddin Khilji. With his Khal Drogo-esque avatar, Ranveer sent both men and women in a tizzy. Powerful, menacing, lusty, Ranveer seems to have captured Khilji in perhaps a more amplified form than what the actual ruler really was.In the evening, the actor shared an Insta post where he looked really emotional after the overwhelming praise he got for his portrayal of Khilji. He posted a thank you note for members of the media, friends and trade after the love shown towards Padmavati. With the trailer crossing 15 million views in a single day, Ranveer that this film was beyond numbers for him but the record achieved was quite staggering.
