AIR correspondent reports that due to limited supply of vaccines, In the second week of last month Maharashtra Government had decided to suspend vaccination of citizens between the age group of 18 to 44 years in government hospitals. But those interested were able to get inoculated at private hospitals or at corporate vaccination camps.
State’s Health Department has said that, Union Government has given the option to decide preference in vaccination. Accordingly, vaccination of citizens between the age group of 30 to 44 years will be resumed from today in government hospitals across the state.
Vaccination of citizens above the age of 45 will be carried out as earlier. Maharashtra is the only state in the country which has observed around 2.7 crore doses of covid-19 vaccine.
